Reiki back to top
Amanda Burnett, Gill Miller, Diane Tyrer click here for link to 'therapists'
Reiki is an ancient Japanese technique using "Universal Life Force Energy", the energy that is flowing abundantly around & within all living things. When we are in excellent health, there is a powerful flow through the body. However, during stressful times, this energy flow is slowed down or restricted. It is at these times that we start to feel unwell and our ability to allow this energetic flow through our systems is reduced or blocked. Reiki is a way of channelling energy through the hands of an attuned practitioner, which are placed on or above different parts of the client's fully clothed body. Reiki re-balances, heals & harmonises the recipient in a holistic way on a physical, mental, emotional & spiritual level and accelerates the body's own natural healing process. Reiki is particularly effective in relieving stress, depression, anxiety and helps to eliminate pain and accelerates the healing of injuries. The healing energy flows to wherever it is needed in the body; promoting deep relaxation and a feeling of profound well being and greater inner calm.

Sekhem back to top
Gordon Soutar, click here for link to 'therapists'
Sekhem, meaning "spiritual essence", is an ancient Egyptian system of healing and enlightenment. Sekhem has the highest vibrational frequency of all the healing energies and is a powerful and effective channelled energy. Sekhem has a depth and penetration into all areas of the body, mind and spirit that must be experienced to be believed. It allows the recipient to reach a deeper level of awareness and self-healing. It can be used to heal any person, situation or crisis and can also be used to prevent illness or disease. The physical body and aura are cleansed; releasing negative thought patterns, old emotions, old fears, or traumatic memories which have become locked in the body or aura resulting in stress and illness. The energy has a clarity and purity that facilitates empowerment, inspiration, creativity and a joyful thirst for living. The recipient may experience physical or emotional sensations as the energy moves through the body. Every session is unique depending on what is needed by the body at that particular time. Results can be dramatic; many experience profound relief of symptoms and describe a feeling of deep calm, inner peace and joyful harmony. Like Reiki, Sekhem is delivered by directing the energy through the hands of the practitioner above the client's fully clothed body.

Gordon organises regular weekly Sekhem energy healing gatherings (Sunday 19:30) at Aditi Yoga Centre enabling anyone to receive a Sekhem treatment for a small donation. The group are a dedicated team of Sekhem practitioners, or students at various stages of development, who meet regularly in order to raise public awareness and access to the wonderful Sekhem energy. The gatherings also offer practitioners a forum for ongoing support and development, to exchange experiences and ideas. All practitioners and students give their time freely and all contributions go towards the cost of providing the venue.

Thai Yoga Massage back to top
Amanda Burnett click here for link to 'therapists'
Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient Buddhist practice known as the practical application of loving kindness.  This therapy is based on Yoga principles that combines massage, acupressure and stretching.  It is carried out meditatively on a comfortable futon, fully clothed and does not use oils. Working on the floor means that the therapist can make proper use of body weight and do a more thorough job than is possible on a table, it also means you can totally relax. Treatment boosts your immune system and available energy, and releases constrictions within muscles, joints and connective tissues. It improves: flexibility, strength, vitality and general well being, postural alignment, ease of movement and promotes deep relaxation. This makes Thai Yoga Massage an ideal antidote for people who work under pressure, and for stress management.

Thai Yoga Massage is also a perfect complement to your Yoga practice. When you receive Thai Yoga Massage at Aditi Yoga Centre we work on improving your whole body and mind, and have the knowledge and experience to make extensive use of acupressure and advanced Thai Massage techniques for therapeutic effect.

Shiatsu back to top
Carl Miller, Vladimira Stankova click here for link to 'therapists'
Shiatsu is a form of subtle energy treatment for body and mind which makes you feel lighter, happier and more energised. Shiatsu helps you to attain and maintain vibrant good health, and can help you resolve many specific health issues. Shiatsu is a Japanese healing art that came from Traditional Chinese Medicine, and uses the same meridian system and acupoints as acupuncture.   Shiatsu inherits the same extensive system for diagnosis as acupuncture, and the same issues can be treated.  However, unlike acupuncture the receiver remains fully clothed throughout the treatment on a futon, and thumb pressure is used instead of needles. The focus of the treatment is to trace any subtle perturbations in the receiver's energy (called ki) and to resolve them by energy work.  This eliminates the causes of health issues and reminds the receiver's body how to maintain vibrant health by itself.  When the energetic cause has been resolved then the symptoms go too. If you are in perfect health, great!  Shiatsu can give you a boost and make you feel light, happy and energised. But if you are not on top form you can still enjoy all the feel good effects of Shiatsu and resolve many specific issues at the same time.  Shiatsu has been shown to be particularly effective is treating:  anxiety, depression, headaches / migraines, IBS, period pains / irregular periods, irregular sleep / insomnia, sciatica, toothache.  You don't have to have an identifiable health issue because Shiatsu practitioners are trained to find the energetic cause by themselves.

Surge of Chi back to top
Helen Briggs click here for link to 'therapists'
The amazing Surge of Chi machine provides a unique form of passive exercise and massage. It stimulates deeper breathing, massages internal organs and releases tension. Its origins lie in Japan, where it is widely recognised that the sideways motion of the spine, similar to that of animals as they walk around, has great therapeutic value. A rhythmical "figure of 8" motion of the spine is generated as the body responds to the natural movement of the machine. The Surge of Chi exerciser is simple, gentle & fun to use. Benefits observed by regular users include release of tension, improved sleep, relief from back & shoulder pain, constipation and indigestion and a heightened sense of wellbeing.

Simply lie down, relax and Let the waves of Chi energy flow through your body gently easing away all your tension!

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) back to top
Helen Briggs, Gary Flockhart click here for link to 'therapists'
NLP originated from the question “How is it that a few therapists are transforming their client’s lives in just a few hours, whereas most practitioners take far longer?” By analysing the methodologies of the most effective hypnotherapists and therapists of the day, Grinder and Bandler founded NLP in the mid 1970s. It was found that the techniques could indeed be isolated, and are equally effective when employed by others. Since then, the field has been significantly developed and refined. An NLP practitioner can help you achieve results that were once inconceivable. Based on the premise that all behaviour has structure, that structure can be modelled, taught, learned and re-programmed, NLP can help re-programme your mind to the life you have always dreamed of.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) back to top
Helen Briggs click here for link to 'therapists'
EFT is a remarkable treatment for all kinds of emotional problems. It was developed from TFT (Thought Field Therapy), the first discovery in energy psychology. EFT is a psychological version of acupressure, incorporating methods from Ancient Chinese Medicine and modern-day Applied Kinesiology. Each session involves gently tapping a sequence of energy points on the body, releasing negative emotions. The results are amazing, as emotional problems frequently disappear in minutes. It is an effective treatment for anxiety, depression, traumas, phobias, panic attacks, anger, low self-confidence and addictions.

EmoTrance back to top
Ann Rchards click here for link to 'therapists'
EmoTrance, like Emotional Freedon Technique, is a Meridian Energy Therapy throughout which clients remain fully clothed. During the Therapy clients can be seated, lying down or even standing.

During a session there is minimal or no physical contact and the therapy involves relaxed communication during which the client gives the therapist a brief outline of the presenting problem and shares how they feel emotionally. They stop relating the problem when any negative emotion or pain starts to surface, and are then guided to focus in on the underlying energy imbalance felt in their energy body. Using various techniques including visualisation and the power of intention, the client is assisted to restore balance to their energy system and bringing relief from the problem. Working in this way emotional upset is kept to a minimum, enabling even the most traumatic of experiences, fears or phobias to be addressed calmly and swiftly, and most often permanently.

EmoTrance can be used in cicumstances where a problem is of a sesitive nature causing the client to feel unable to share details of their history with another. In such situations, the client keeps details of the problem they are focussing on to themselves, while responding to prompts from the therapist to inform of progress being made in the energy body.

Despite being almost unbelievably simple to use in almost any circumstance, EmoTrance is gentle, powerful and very effective.

Harmonic Therapy back to top
Robbie Smith click here for link to 'therapists'
Harmonic therapy has been designed with the primary goal of relieving tension felt in the upper back, shoulders and neck caused by hours spent in front of a PC, sat at a desk or whilst driving. It uses rhythmic oscillations to relax the muscles at a neurological level. This rhythm also lubricates the joints and flushes blood through the muscles to eliminate toxins.
This therapy can also be used on any other part of the body that experiences some form of tension or strain including thighs, elbows, low back and hips. It can help with the relief of tension headaches and stress and leaves you feeling generally healthier and better.

Homeopathy back to top
To be confirmed click here for link to 'therapists'
Homeopathy is a safe, gentle, holistic form of healing. Homeopathic medicine is suitable for everyone and gentle enough for babies as well as adults. As homeopathy is without toxic side effects it is an idea treatment pre-conception, during pregnancy and after delivery. Homeopathy helps ease you through life changes and smooth down the bumpy patches that we all go through. By giving equal importance to emotional, psychological and physical symptoms homeopathic treatment is beneficial for general health as well as chronic conditions. You may wish to maximise your well being without the presence of any particular health issue.

Homeopathic medicine heals by ‘like curing like’ or healing with a similar energy. We associate illness of any kind with a change in our energy levels and our experience of painful or uncomfortable symptoms. It’s this imbalance of our life force that responds to the energy of another similar life force. For example the homeopathic remedy Arnica is dynamically charged with the energy of the plant Arnica. Once taken as a homeopathic remedy it acts as a catalyst by stimulating our internal life force and switching on the self-healing process.

Hypnotherapy back to top
Helen Briggs, Gary Flockhart click here for link to 'therapists'
Hypnotherapy unlocks the healing power of the unconscious mind to restore harmony both physically and mentally. Hypnosis is a state of profound relaxation, helping you to become inwardly focused on the solutions to any problem. It helps you access your natural intelligence focusing your unconscious mind on overcoming a variety of problems and limitations. Like daydreaming, you are in control, at all times, in this ‘trance’ state.

Ling Chi Healing

Ann Richards
click here for link to 'therapists'
Ling Chi Healing (similar to Reiki) is a combination of various Earth forces, Heavenly forces and Human forces that assist and speed up our natural healing process, our personal development and our spiritual unfolding. Ling Chi Healing is channelled through the hands of an attuned practitioner, which are placed on or above different parts of the seated client's fully clothed body. This Healing art brings about healing harmony and empowerment on all levels. The healing energy flows to wherever it is needed in the body; promoting deep relaxation and a feeling of profound well being and greater inner calm.

Osteopathy
Robbie Smith
click here for link to 'therapists'
Osteopathy is a manual therapy that specialises in the diagnosis, treatment, management and prevention of problems of the muscles and joints.

All osteopaths carry professional insurance and must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council, which is recognised by Act of Parliament.  The Council regulates the profession, safeguarding the public and maintaining professional standards. Most insurance providers cover osteopathy.  Check with yours before making an appointment, in case they require a referral from your doctor.

Osteopathy commonly treats:
- Back pain
- Neck pain and headache
- Arthritis and joint pain
- Muscle pain and tension
- Whiplash
- ‘Slipped disc’ and ‘sciatica’
- Sports injuries
- Postural problems and work strain

and can also help:
- Asthma
- Inflammatory arthritis
- Fibromyalgia
- M.S. and Parkinson’s
- Stress and nervous disorders
- Lack of energy and M.E.
- Digestive disorders and I.B.S.

Initial consultation involves detailed case history and physical examination of the painful area, which may require you to remove some clothing. Once a diagnosis is reached it will be discussed and a treatment plan agreed. Treatment depends on the patient’s needs and the nature of the problem but usually involves 1-5 sessions for acute problems. For chronic cases maintenance treatments may be recommended. The main treatment modalities are:

- Joint mobilisations that free restrictions, increase range of movement and lubricate joint surfaces,
- Massage that removes congestion in muscles, improves circulation, breaks down adhesions or tones up slack muscle,
- Manipulative adjustments that release locked joints and affect nervous flow to and from spinal joints, and
- Visceral massage, which moves bowel contents and releases adhesions.

Reflexology is a popular complementary therapy that focuses mainly on your feet. Reflexology helps your body heal itself, removes tension and brings balance to your body and mind. It’s gentle and non-invasive – all you have to do is take off your shoes and socks. So it’s suitable for almost anyone, anywhere. You have thousands of nerve endings in your feet, providing a key into the workings of your body. Manipulating reflex and energy points in your feet helps to eliminate imbalances, tension and congestion in all parts of your body. Reflexology is deeply relaxing, ideal during busy or stressful times in your life or simply when you want to feel pampered. However it is also a powerful therapy that can help to naturally relieve a wide variety of conditions. Reflexology can stimulate circulation, promote efficient digestion, soothe your nervous system, balance hormones, help remove toxins, strengthen your immune system, relieve pain, boost your energy levels, clear your mind … and help your body to regain balance and heal itself. Manipulation of the feet has been used for thousands of years to improve physical and mental wellbeing. Why not try it and discover the benefits for yourself?

Reasons for having a course of reflexology: to address specific health problems, to improve general wellbeing, raise your energy levels, keep an eye on your health and monitor recurrent conditions, to ease the side effects of pregnancy, and of course for wonderful relaxation!

Maternity Reflexology back to top
Amanda Burnett, Meriel Younger click here for link to 'therapists'
Maternity Reflexology is a specialised area of reflexology which encourages deep relaxation, relieving many of the common symptoms associated with pregnancy:

- morning sickness
- heartburn
- headaches
- back pain
- swelling
- insomnia
- digestive problems.

One of the main reasons for using reflexology during later stages of pregnancy is to encourage a faster labour with less discomfort and reducing the need for pain relieving drugs. However, the treatments are supportive during the full maternity cycle from pre-conception through pregnancy itself, induction and finally during the postnatal period.

Maternity Reflexology can also been used to help maintain a balance during the menstrual cycle and menopause (regulating periods, controlling PMT and balancing hormones).

Therapeutic Massage back to top
Felicity Bradley, Amanda Burnett, Vladimira Stankova, Diane Tyrer, Meriel Younger
click here for link to 'therapists'
Otherwise known as Swedish or Holistic Massage, therapeutic massage is usually a full-body treatment which relaxes the muscles and the mental state, and can both stimulate and balance all body systems, from the circulation to hormonal output.

The many benefits of therapeutic massage include:
- Pain relief (muscular pain, joint pain, headaches, and some other types of pain)
- Relaxation, reduced anxiety, and improved ability to manage stress
- Improved concentration and vitality
- Improvements in sleep problems
- Relief of digestive problems (eg IBS)
- Alleviation of hormone-related problems such as PMT and some types of depression
- Improvements in some respiratory conditions such as Asthma
- Boosting of immune system

The treatment takes place on a massage couch, where the client is undressed, but covered with towels. The hour-long treatment comprises massage of the back, legs, arms, abdomen, face, neck and shoulders. A half-hour treatment would usually involve work on the back, neck and shoulders. The effects of the treatment can be felt immediately in terms of relaxation and stress reduction, and will continue to enhance the client's wellbeing cumulatively with further treatments.

Therapeutic massage uses oils to reduce friction on the skin, and to assist with conditioning the skin and muscles.

Hopi Ear Candles back to top
Meriel Younger
click here for link to 'therapists'
This simple and effective therapy can assist in cases of
- sinusitis & nasal rhinitis
- excessive wax build-up
- headaches and migraines
- colds and flu
- tinnitus
- allergies including hay fever
- Glue ear and the prevention of grommets
- snoring
- hearing impairment
- reduction of ear pressure prior to flying or diving

A centuries-old Hopi Indian ceremony, ear candling has very practical benefits beyond the soothing nature of the treatment. The candles themselves are actually a hollow tube of 100% organic beeswax, wrapped in organic flax (which allows the candle to burn evenly, and prevents any ash from dropping). They also contain healing and calming essential oils of sage, chamomile and St. John's wort.
The sensation to the majority of clients is that of a gentle warmth in the ear, combined with the gentle sound of the burning candle, which is very soothing.

Whilst lying on one side, the candle (lit at the other end) is inserted gently into the client's ear, and remains there until burned down to about two inches from the ear (the therapist is holding the candle, and watching the flame very closely!). As the mild heat of the flame warms the air inside the candle, and so within the ear, the 'chimney' or vacuum effect massages the inner ear and remedies pressure imbalances in the inner ears and sinuses. This happens very gently, and only in rare cases is the recipient able to feel this process taking place. At the same time as this is happening, small amounts of gentle essential oils (listed above) are released into the ear to assist against infection and promote healing.

The candle is then removed and extinguished, and the other ear treated. The client then receives a facial massage to enhance the effects of the candle. The whole process takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour. Repeat treatments may be necessary to fully alleviate some of the conditions listed above. An initial course of three treatments is recommended to ascertain the benefits.

Only best quality 'Biosun' candles are used, ensuring the safety and comfort of the client. You should not have a treatment when the ear is infected, or when there is a perforated eardrum.

Aromatherapy back to top
Amanda Burnett, Vladimira Stankova click here for link to 'therapists'
Aromatherapy is the therapeutic use of concentrated plant essences (essential oils). The natural chemical compositions of the essential oils have been shown through research to possess: stimulant, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, anti-spasmodic, analgesic and relaxant properties.

The most common method of applying essential oils to the body is through massage. Aromatherapy massage is the combination of therapeutic massage and application of a blend of essential oils in vegetable/carrier oil. A detailed consultation is carried out at the end of which a blend of essential oils is chosen to address the needs of the individual as a whole: mind, body and spirit. The depth and sequence of the massage is also tailored to their individual needs.

Aromatherapy massage:
- relaxes and tones tense, tired muscles
- relaxes the nervous system and calms the mind
- reduce the symptoms of stress
- gives relief to chronic health conditions
- gives relief to musculoskeletal disorders
- supports the body’s healing process

Hot Stone Massage back to top
Diane Tyrer click here for link to 'therapists'
Hot Stone Massage is the next dimension in massage. It is a bodywork technique that involves the application of water-heated, smooth volcanic stones to key points of the body as part of a deep massage. Warm oil is applied to the body before the stones so that they can easily glide over the contours of the body.

The result is a truly unique experience, as the heat of the stones melt away tension allowing a deep and effective massage. Clients feel the warm nurturing and healing effects long after the treatment is over.

Benefits of Hot Stone Massage:
- induces a state of deep relaxation
- stimulates the circulatory system and promotes self healing
- helps relieve pain and muscle spasm
- reduces the symptoms of stress
- aids detoxification of the body

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) back to top
Diane Tyrer click here for link to 'therapists'
CranioSacral therapy is a gentle, non-invasive, manipulative therapy which is used to encourage the body to rebalance and heal itself. It can be used for the treatment of many conditions at all ages. It is particularly suitable for the treatment of babies and children.

The craniosacral system consists of the membranes of the central nervous system, their bony attachments to the cranial bones and the sacrum, and the cerebrospinal fluid which rhythmically moves within the craniosacral system. This rhythmic movement is used to identify restrictions both within the system and throughout the body’s connective tissue.

Restrictions, blockages or dysfunction of any kind anywhere in the body are reflected as disturbances of the rhythm, symmetry, rate and amplitude of the craniosacral system. The therapist by placing their hands gently on the body can identify areas of restriction and tension and facilitate and assist the body in its own natural self-corrective abilities.

CranioSacral therapy can be used to help babies who experience:
- Birth trauma
- Colic
- Sucking difficulties
- Sleep problems

CranioSacral therapy can be used to help children and adults who experience:
- Behavioural issues (e.g. autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder [ADHD])
- Teeth and jaw misalignment
- Digestive problems
- Headaches/migraines
- Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) dysfunction
- Chronic pain
- Tinnitus
- Chronic ear infections
- Back pain and injuries

Thai Foot Massage back to top
Amanda Burnett, Meriel Younger click here for link to 'therapists'
Thai Foot Massage takes it’s origins from China where the art has been practiced for over 3000 years. Thai Foot Massage is a massage of the lower legs and feet to “open” Sen (energy) Lines, along with the use of a stick to stimulate the reflex points on the feet which correspond to the internal organs of the body. Thai Foot Massage stimulates these points to promote general health and well-being. A Treatment in Thai Foot Massage will usually last for one hour and the therapist may spend the last 10 minutes massaging the hands and sometimes the shoulders too.

Traditional Thai Massage and Thai Foot Massage compliment each other beautifully. Thai Massage balances the elements of the mind and body, while Thai Foot Massage stimulates the internal organs, giving the receiver an holistic treatment.

The benefits of a Thai Foot Massage

- Improved circulation and toxin removal.
- Stimulated lymphatic drainage and immune system boost.
- Reduced stiffness and improved flexibility.
- Accelerated physical healing
- Stress relief
- Improved sleep

Ayurvedic Therapies back to top
Melanie Ashton-Hosseini click here for link to 'therapists'
Ayurveda is an ancient healing system, that originated in India approximately 6,000 years ago, deriving it's philosophy and principles from the universal laws of nature. Known as the mother of all healing, Ayurveda is made up of 2 sanskrit words AYU meaning life and VEDA meaning knowledge of. It is a science of life, of living.

In Ayurveda, it is believed that all life is interconnected. That all human beings contain all the elements of the universe. Therefore, we are all initially in perfect harmony with ourselves and the universe. This natural state of balance can be disrupted through the process of living, the disruptions can manifest mentally, physically, emotionally or spiritually. Ayurveda, through its treatments, seeks to redress the balance by helping the person find harmony once more.

At the core of Ayurveda is the study of the 5 elements (space, air, fire, water, Earth). These 5 elements manifest in the human body as 3 doshas (biological humors). They are:
- Vata- ether,air
- Pitta- fire,water
- Kapha- water,earth
Keeping these elements in harmony, it is believed, will result in good health and longevity.

Advanced Remedial & Sports Massage Therapy involves the manipulation of the body’s soft tissues, to treat a wide variety of problems and conditions, sport and non sport related, using a wide variety of very powerful and effective manual techniques.

These include:
- myofascial release
- multi-directional deep friction
- muscle energy techniques (MET)
- neuromuscular techniques
- trigger point therapy
- contract / relax / stretch
- soft tissue release
- traction
- mobilisations

The aim is to identify and treat the cause of the problem and not just treat the symptoms.

To achieve this, a structural assessment is often necessary followed by gentle re-alignment to rebalance and return the body to its best possible state. This is achieved using a combination of the above techniques as necessary.

After resolution of the problem, a body maintenance programme is recommended; this involves regular visits for check-ups and massage; as is a structured exercise and stretching regime.

Advanced Remedial and Sports Massage Therapy can ease:
- muscle pain
- back pain
- neck pain
- sciatic pain
- shoulder pain (frozen shoulder)
- tennis / golfers elbow
- repetitive strain injuries
- knee pain
- shin splints
- ankle / foot pain
- tendonitis
- sprains & strains
- tmj problems
- migraine

Herbal Medicine back to top

Herbal medicine (Phytotherapy) is the use of plant-based remedies to restore and maintain health and well-being, focusing on the underlying causes of illness, not just on the symptoms. It is the most ancient and universal system of medicine, still practised in various forms by 80% of the world’s population.

Today’s western herbal practitioners build on this tradition, enhanced by modern scientific knowledge and understanding of factors contributing to disease and health, to provide gentle, effective and balanced treatments.

Treatment may include a herbal prescription (tincture, infusion, cream, etc.), but will also focus on emotional state, nutrition and lifestyle in a holistic approach that aims to enable the patient, as a unique individual, to regain control of his/her health in the long term.

Herbal medicine is suitable for both children and adults, and can treat most of the health problems that you might consult your GP about. Common conditions seen by herbalists include:
- recurrent coughs and colds
- digestive problems like indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome, peptic ulcers
- circulatory problems such as high blood pressure, angina, varicose veins
- skin complaints such as eczema, psoriasis, acne
- headaches, migraine
- stress, fatigue, insomnia
- hayfever, asthma, allergies
- autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis
- menstrual and menopausal problems
- bladder and urinary tract problems

This list is not exhaustive, and enquiries are welcome from people with any condition. A qualified herbalist will advise you whether you should also see your GP or another practitioner, if appropriate.

Your initial consultation with a medical herbalist will usually last about 1 hour, and subsequent visits 20-30 minutes

Lissim – a new way of easing pain
Lissim is a gentle and effective self-help touch technique that can break the cycle of pain and help you regain and maintain control, enhancing your energy and well-being. It can provide effective relief for a range of problems, especially where tension or spasm are involved. With regular use, Lissim can also ease widespread and chronic pain.

People with the following conditions have benefited from Lissim, but we welcome enquiries from people with any condition:
- Back, neck and shoulder pain
- Limb pain
- Headaches
- Fibromyalgia
- Heartburn / indigestion
- Irritable bowel syndrome

Lissim touch is very light and non-invasive. It is precisely focused but flexible; treatment at the right points can often relieve pain over wide areas.

Lissim puts you in control: most people can learn to ease their own pain after just 1-3 sessions. The Lissim teacher’s role is to support you to acquire the skills and confidence to begin using Lissim yourself and, where appropriate, help with initial treatments.

To underline the self-help nature of Lissim Therapy, sessions take the form of small groups (usually 2-4 persons), but individual sessions can be arranged if you prefer. Sessions are booked in a ‘block’ of two – an initial session of around 1 hour plus a follow-up session of 30 minutes – to ensure a good grounding in the technique. Additional instruction, treatments, or refresher sessions can also be provided.
